Jerel Byrd, Software Development Manager

Mr. Byrd is responsible for day-to day-development and implementation of all web-based applications, including the Thomasholmes Rater, CarrierLINK, and internal systems. Additionally, Mr. Byrd is a member of the design team which sets the strategic direction of all freight management software and of the continuous improvement process to better the company.

Mr. Byrd worked for a large distribution company managing all of their websites and internal development. His experience in working with the management and leadership of a distribution company, gave Mr. Byrd insight into the pain points of manual freight shipment process and of the importance of visibility around freight and transportation costs. This knowledge still drives the solutions within our freight management software today. Jerel also worked for an electronics company developing software for webcams and designing video transmitters for television stations. He also served in the Air Force and attended the University of Phoenix graduating with a  Bachelors of Information Technology and a Masters of Information System (M.I.S).

Mr. Byrd lives in Broken Arrow, OK, with his wife, Susan. As many can attest in our Tulsa office, Jerel is a huge University of Tulsa sports fan.
